This is my dear little Tessa.  She’s a bit of a ragamuffin as my dad found her wandering in the snow on the brink of starvation and had a partial ear and tail amputation.  Well, it’s been one year in my house and now she is one fat and very verbose cat and I’m very lucky to have her.  Living with pets makes for great photo ops so be sure to keep your camera handy!!!  You could always call me though…I love photographing pets!

Update!  You can vote for Tessa at the Humane Society for their spay/neuter program and help a great cause!

The last time I went skiing I thought I would die.  It was fun for a while don’t get me wrong…the top of Tahoe, beautiful sunny day, nice fluffy snow.  But getting my butt down was not fun!!  So I recently went again and had a great time, great teacher, sunny sky, fun friends.  I’m even sharing photos!!!  So you can make fun of me if you like as I know I look like a big dufuss but I am smiling…that says something!

So I go to all these networking events like ISES, WIPA, NACE etc because I  think it is really important to stay in touch with people in the business.  You learn a lot, meet great people and they always have great cocktails!  But honestly it is about staying in touch with the community of people in this business. Really!  So I hate my photo being taken but this one I like because it happens to be with my friend Neil Adams who is president of ISES in San Francisco. He’s such a sweet guy and does a great job!  Thanks Richard Mayer for the photo!

I’ve always been a fan of history and am highly intrigued by WW2.  So when I went to Eastern Europe last winter it really brought some things into perspective.  Walking through Prague, Warsaw, Krakow, Berlin, Vienna, Slovakia and Budapest was an inxperience I won’t forget.  I think every American should walk the streets of a Third World country and a country with a history of 1000 years or more.  It truly puts a perspective on what we have and need to appreciate.  I took these photos with a Holga which is a cheap, Russian made camera I have to tape together to make sure light doesn’t hit the film!  If you would like to see more go to mistilayne.smugmug.com/. I look forward to any comments you may have!
