Getting out of the house…
It’s been months since I’ve been to a networking event for my industry or seen many of my colleagues. We may meet in smaller groups or one on one and I have to say, it makes my day when we do. Hugs! Who knew you could miss hugs so much? Well, this visit to EPoS, a private estate in Woodside, was a highlight and so wonderful to see a friend and this amazing place.
Kirsten Seaholm of The KS Experience is managing EPoS and such a perfect person for this space. She loves what she does, and her passion and love of this space was obvious.
Driving up to the house you immediately see the true Spanish Revival architecture which is an inspiration from the owner’s 10 years living in Santa Barbara. The buildings, the environment and the landscaping are all in complete harmony and all designed by the owners.
EPos Private Estate Reclaiming History
My absolute favorite space is the Conservatory which is adjacent to the main residence. I could absolutely live here! The Conservatory contains reclaimed wood from a home built in the 1890’s by the first blacksmith of Woodside. The original historical artifacts from Woodside blend in perfectly with the design of the Estate.
It was interesting that the build took seven years and only completed in February 2019. When you see all the details however, you understand why. Everywhere I looked, I would see something that made me say “oooh”. The tiles on the stairs or a backsplash, the rounded edges of walls with the softest of texture, stairs that looking up or looking down delight the eyes and definitely all the windows. So, so many windows bringing in natural light to every room with a view that just seems to calm the soul.
It is obvious that EPoS Private Estate was made with love and passion. My visit here and seeing Kristen was easily the highlight of the month.
